The Military Preparation College ran all the way to the Normandy D-Day Beaches - without even getting their feet wet!!! On Friday 21 July 2011 Students from the Military Preparation College staged a Run-A-Thon on a Treadmill and Exercise Bike to cover the distance from Farnborough to the Normandy D-Day Beaches, some 175 miles. The reason for the Run-A-Thon was to raise awareness of the very important work that the Royal British Legion does and to generate funds for the Poppy Appeal. The Run-A-Thon was completed by 1700 hours and the Students managed to raise over £1090.00. A FANTASTIC ACHIEVEMENT!!! Our Thanks go to all those who took part The photo shows Jacki Gatfield the Poppy Appeal Organiser and Mike Biggs Branch Chairman with all the Students and Instructors from the Military Preparation College who took part.
