Our Thanks go to all those who took part The 25th June this year saw the re-staging of the North Camp Carnival, after a break of some 4 years. Judging by the turnout, number of floats and attendance, this is sure to be a regular feature in the North Camp Diary in the future The day started with a float procession which marched through the town and into the Arena in the Queens Road Recreation Park The Mayor and Mayoress of Rushmoor inspected and judged the floats, and lo and behold, The Farnborough Branch of the Royal British Legion came Runners-Up winning a £30 prize The Branch was supported by members of the Army Cadet Force and Students from the Military Preparation College, and between them they managed to raise £86.74 for the Poppy Appeal Fund, plus our £30 prize, making a total of £116.74 The photo shows Jacki Gatfield the Poppy Appeal Organiser,                              Mike Biggs Branch Chairman and Major Kevin Tompkins Branch Vice-Chairman with the Union Standard carried by Mark Redford and the Branch Standard carried by John Izant supported by members of the Army Cadet Force and The Military Preparation College
